Holly Hill is an excellent example of Medieval Transitional architecture, and it sat on the plantation of Richard Harrison. The house stayed in the Harrison family until the mid-1800s. The home was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It remains one of the oldest buildings in Maryland to this day.
